textbook
This year, students will be using pages from our newly-adopted consumable textbook. The textbook will be housed in our classroom. Weekly, students can remove significant pages from the textbook and add to the rings of the math binder/section for personal use. These pages will support our classroom learning and activities by providing notes, examples, and practice opportunities. At times, students will be asked to tear out and bring home specific pages to complete for homework.

*At Nelson, Advisory tutorials occur during the school day (usually two times per week--Tuesdays and Thursdays). Many students can use this Advisory time to make progress in their pathway using a personal device or getting a library pass to gain access to the website. Our Nelson library is also open before and after school most days; students without personal devices at home, should utilize the on-campus resources.
- With every module of study, students will be assigned pathways in IM to supplement our classwork.
- The pathways should be completed outside of class and must be finished by the Module CBA date.*Students will receive their log-in information (this has changed from last year) during the week of October 24,2017 in math class.

Tutorial schedule and procedure
Due to meetings, there will be some days when I will be unable to offer tutorials. I will post a notice at my door when my absences are anticipated. When this occurs, please encourage your child to see me at a different time or seek help from other teachers.
See the table below to view our current availability for tutorials, effective 8/28/17. |
Students should attend with any teacher that is available, per the schedule. Because our math teachers are teaching multiple levels, your child may need to receive tutorials from another qualified math teacher. Please plan ahead and don't wait until the last minute!
